Whenever you decide to put your child into nursery it’s a daunting and unknown prospect of giving the care of the most important person in your life into the hands of others. From day one at Nannie Annies we have felt most comfortable that my daughter is cared for, looked after and encouraged to grow into the person she will be. Nannie Annies doesn’t run like a business, it’s like a club that we are all part of. Winnie has loved it at Nannie Annies from her first day and continues to learn, play and grow every single day. Nannie Annies is a wonderful nursery that really has the development of children at the forefront of everything it does. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her days there and is clearly thriving in such a fun and happy environment at the nursery. The staff are all so friendly and clearly passionate about working with children. The nursery has also been excellent in dealing with safety amidst the pandemic and this has given us confidence as parents in sending our daughter there throughout the pandemic. A fantastic nursery and I can’t wait to send my second child there too!

In considering a nursery for our cherub we sought a setting that not only implemented the current thinking in early years development but more fundamentally – cared about our daughter. Nannie Annies had such innovative practices that at their heart celebrated play and kept her excited about returning each day. By showing patience and taking the time to get to know her as an individual as well as responding to her infant communications, she has continued to blossom. The Science says that 0-3 are seminal years for laying the foundation upon which future life experiences will build, we’re content with our decision to partner with Nannie Annies at such a crucial time.

Our son has attended Nannie Annies since he was 5 months old. We were apprehensive putting our son into nursery care so early but we needn’t have been. From the very beginning we have found Nannie Annies to be incredibly professional, caring, understanding and have our child’s best interests at heart. I can comfortably say there is nowhere in the area that provides childcare quite like Nannie Annies. We have watched our baby grow whilst being under the care of the amazing team, and I couldn’t ask for a better start for him. They update us regularly on their app with pictures, live videos and a list of food, drinks and even nappy changes! If you are considering childcare in Essex, there is nowhere better. I can’t thank them all enough for making me feel so comfortable as a new mum through a pandemic. They’re amazing!

Having viewed Nannie Annies shortly before the first lockdown, I was really impressed by the facilities- such as mini functioning kitchens and a well designed garden. I also couldn’t believe how nice it smelled- so unusual in a childcare setting! Some months later, when I was able to start settling my eldest into nursery, I found myself a little jealous of her as they had a really lovely area setup on the green complete with bunting, teepee and white picket fence for the children to play on. Whilst the fees are a little higher than some others in the area, we are able to see the nursery investing in specialist staff and new equipment .They have a large team of enthusiastic staff which allows for a much more personal settling in experience for both child and parent. There have been a number of initiatives introduced to make further improvements to the curriculum. The staff have some very creative ideas- particular favourites of mine included dance drawing and a very imaginative “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” (including artificial snow). Despite having not set foot in the nursery since my initial visit, the nursery uses the Family app so we receive posts throughout the day showing us what our children are up to- on days when our youngest has been in the throes of teething we have gratefully received extra pictures to show that she’s ok. We are also invited to live sessions to watch the children taking part in various activities. We are also able to contact the staff directly through the app. Most importantly my children are very happy and safe at Nannie Annies.
